Our aim is to create supportive environments that empower students to become well-rounded, highly skilled and resilient – ready to make an impact on a global scale.
Transformative learning experiences
The University comprises eight campuses situated on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung, Bunurong, Yorta Yorta and Dja Dja Wurrung people. Our Parkville campus is located within the largest biomedical precinct in the southern hemisphere, and our Southbank campus lies at the heart of Melbourne’s famous Arts Precinct.
Within our diverse learning environments, students work alongside academics and researchers who are at the forefront of their field. Through industry-integrated learning, internships, volunteering and study abroad opportunities, students gain practical, real-world experience, strengthen their connections with industry and community, and hone their skills and expertise to become global leaders.
A distinctive approach to education
The Melbourne curriculum empowers students to create their own study path. You’ll be encouraged to see the world from different perspectives, learn to connect thoughts and ideas, find innovative solutions to problems and put them into practice. You can focus on your chosen discipline while exploring other diverse subjects across 100 different study areas. It’s a unique opportunity to tailor your degree to your own interests and aspirations.
Choose from seven foundational bachelors degrees in arts, biomedicine, commerce, design, fine arts, music, and science. We also offer specialist degrees in agriculture and oral health, where everything you study is structured for your chosen discipline. Once completed, you can enter the workforce with a broad knowledge base and career-ready skills. Or, continue the journey to gain specialised knowledge via a graduate degree or in graduate research to set yourself apart as an expert in your field.
You could even guarantee your place in a graduate program at Melbourne before you start your undergraduate course, by applying for a Graduate Degree Package. For example, you could enrol in the Bachelor of Science and lock in your spot in the Master of Engineering to know with certainty the path you will take.
