ABOUT US

CG Spectrum is an online professional training ground for digital art, game design, animation, and VFX.

We deliver 2-year bachelor's degrees and diplomas built around a single question: when your work is in front of someone who hires for the studios you want to work at, does it hold up?

Most creative degrees keep you guessing until it's too late. Broad degrees and occasional feedback from teachers with no production experience. You graduate with a credential and a portfolio, and then find out if you’re not competitive enough to be hired.

We bring that forward. From your first session, your work is placed in front of people still inside the industry — animators with credits on Pocahontas, Life of Pi, and Zootopia; FX artists who built shots for Aquaman, John Wick, and Game of Thrones; game programmers who shipped Far Cry, Assassin's Creed, and Call of Duty; concept artists from Disney Interactive and Blizzard.

They draw over your work, name the weak frame, the decision you defaulted to. Small corrections, stacked, until your judgement sharpens and your work stops reading as “student work”.

2-years here builds your ability to see what's wrong before someone tells you, know what to change and why, and hold a consistent standard under pressure.

HOW YOU'RE TRAINED

Closer to an apprenticeship than a classroom. Your mentor is actively teaching you — showing you how they see, what they notice, how they approach a problem, drawing on decades of real studio experience.

That includes craft and the professional habits studios hire for: how to take feedback, communicate your decisions, and operate under pressure. You're shaped toward a standard that makes you competitive.

MENTORS

90+ active mentors. 16 years' avg. experience. 85% still working in studios today. Credits span Pixar, DreamWorks, ILM, Weta FX, Ubisoft, Blizzard, Riot Games, and Framestore — people in the tent with you, correcting, challenging, passing down how they actually do the work.

We're online because it's the only way to give every student access to people working at the highest level globally, not just whoever happens to be nearby.

COMMUNITY

The people here want you to get better — and they hold you to it. You're given permission to show unfinished work, rough passes, things that don't land yet. That's how you progress faster than any classroom allows.

On top of your course, weekly sessions run across every specialisation, including career talks with working professionals on what studios actually hire for.
