Established in 1954, the Elly Lukas Beauty Therapy College is a specialist centre for beauty, spa and dermal therapies offering beauty, massage and spa therapy courses including the highest beauty therapy qualification available in Australia, the Diploma of Beauty Therapy. The College is also accredited by the prestigious Swiss beauty therapy organisation CIDESCO and the English examining bodies, ITEC and CIBTAC, which enable our graduates to obtain internationally recognised qualifications.
As an independent tertiary institution specialising in nationally and internationally accredited beauty, spa and massage therapy career education to a professional industry level, the qualifications that you will receive from the College are both recognised and respected throughout the world. Working closely with industry, the College maintains relevant training and is able to assist you with employment and placement in laser and advanced skin clinics/spa/beauty salons and resorts both during your training and upon graduation.
Our partnership with the Australian Dermal Science Institute enables elly lukas Diploma Graduates who wish to specialise as Dermal Therapists and further their studies with the Bachelor Degree of Applied Health Science (Clinical Aesthetics) or the Associate Degree in Applied Health Science (Dermal Therapy) courses.
Many of our students now obtain employment prior to commencing their training, and the majority of our students obtain employment during their training, with almost all of the remaining students obtaining employment or continuing onto further study immediately after graduating. Our graduates are highly sought after by the industry because of their job ready skills and thorough training obtained at the College.
We approach teaching and learning by providing you with relevant underpinning knowledge combined with the confidence to apply your newly obtained skills in the workplace. Our training spa and salon facility allows you to practice your skills in a real life salon/spa environment whilst you learn. The College's new Melbourne City campus is a purpose built facility featuring modern equipment and state-of the-art facilities including specialist day spa, wet tables, vichy shower, aromatherapy and steam areas designed to give students valuable knowledge and experience with up-to-date salon/spa treatments as they become available in the industry.
Available optional study tours include a Spa industry tour to leading spas/resorts in Queensland and our annual Sydney Leadership Conference. You may also apply for the partnership program with Steiner (London) to work on luxury spas onboard cruise liners globally or a number of internship programs with leading employers such as Hayman & Hamilton Islands and the Greek Islands.
The College is registered to offer courses to international students (CRICOS 01867G) and is a YOUTH ALLOWANCE, AUSTUDY, VET STUDENT LOAN and a SKILLS FIRST VICTORIAN GOVERNMENT FUNDED approved College.
