Enrolment

VTAC Acceptance of Offer and Enrolment Process

Once you have received your offer, there are a few steps you need to take to enrol. Please allow enough time to familiarize yourself with what is required.

You will firstly be required to complete an online enrolment including undertaking a pre-training review. This may include a literacy/numeracy test depending on your prior educational achievement and the course level into which you are enrolling.

You will then provide any required documentation and pay fees.

Only once your fees are paid, is your place in the course secure.

Deferment

Once you have been accepted into a course, you may decide not to take that place up until the following year. This is called deferment of offer. Your place in the course will be held for up to one year. Some courses allow deferment while others do not. Please contact us for further information on 1300 269 445.

Advanced standing/Academic credit/RPL

RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) is a form of assessment that recognises skills and knowledge gained through formal training conducted by industry or education, work experience and/or life experience.

Fees & Charges

The tuition fees you pay will depend on whether you are enrolling in a VET/TAFE level course, and if so, whether you are eligible for a government-subsidised place, or, whether you are enrolling in a Higher Education (undergraduate or post graduate) course. In addition to the tuition fee, a service and amenity fee will apply, and materials fees will also generally apply. Please go to the individual course entry on the Box Hill Institute website for indicative course fees.
