Co-curricular projects and programs

JMC Academy’s curriculum has been developed with a focus on emerging industry trends, professional development, collaboration, and networking. Our programs are unique in combining essential critical thinking with the project-based work and practical experience critical to industry success. JMC students from all departments have the opportunity to work together and apply their skills on collaborative projects. Our students are also able to build and apply their knowledge abroad and create global networks through our study tours and exchange opportunities.

Admission criteria

Bachelor Degree + Diploma Courses (applicants under 21 years of age)

  • Minimum 17 years of age
  • Completion of Year 12 or equivalent
  • Consultation/Interview with JMC Academy Admissions Advisor
  • Audition (Acting, Music Theatre, Contemporary Music Performance and Songwriting applicants only)
  • Creative Portfolio (Animation, Game Design and Design applicants only)

  • English proficiency: minimum IELTS 6.0 overall (with no single band score below 5.5) or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a senior Secondary School certificate
  • Attend an interview in person or online
  • Undertake an audition. (Contemporary Performance, Music Theatre, Acting). Audition videos/online links are accepted for applicants living overseas or interstate.
  • Songwriting applicants may undertake an audition OR submit a folio
  • Creative Portfolio (Design, Animation, Game Design, Music Production applicants only)

Progressing to postgraduate studies

All JMC Academy Bachelor Degree graduates are eligible to apply for entry into JMC Academy's Master of Creative Industries, or relevant post-grad qualification at any Australian university.

International Student Support

JMC Academy understands that moving to a new country and adjusting to a new learning style can be difficult. To support international students in their studies, we provide: Peer mentoring program, Foundation course before studies, Pre-arrival orientation app, On-campus orientation, Academic support staff, On-campus counsellor, On-going support from International Services, On-campus English Language support and Off-campus support through a network of English language colleges.

Financial assistance

FEE-HELP

JMC Academy is a registered Higher Education Private Provider. All of our programs are eligible for FEE-HELP. FEE-HELP is a Commonwealth loan given to eligible fee-paying students to help pay for part or all of their tuition fees.
