Early offer programs
What is an early offer program?
Early offer programs allow students to access a conditional offer to their chosen institution ahead of receiving their results. You must meet further conditions in your final year 12 results to convert a conditional early offer to unconditional on one of the VTAC offer rounds.
What are the benefits of an early entry program?
Having the guarantee of an offer through an early entry program can take the pressure off in your final year of school if you know there is a course that you could study the following year.
It also doesn’t limit your options, as you can still list your course preferences in the order you want to study them in your VTAC application, and change your preferences as many times as you’d like until change of preferences closes.
How do I apply for an early entry program?
Early entry programs in Victoria work differently at each university. You apply directly to them, and their requirements and offers might vary. But even if you get an early offer, you'll still need to apply through VTAC for final confirmation.
When do I apply for an early entry program?
Each institution’s early entry program will have different application deadlines. Please visit the institution websites below to find out more.
What is a conditional offer?
A conditional offer is not official, however it is made on the basis that if you meet all of the conditions required, then you will receive an official offer during the VTAC offer rounds.
Examples of conditions include; a certain study score in English, completion of year 12, a certain minimum ATAR.
Do I need to put my early entry program as my first preference on my VTAC preference list?
You should always list your preferences in the order you want to get into them, with your dream course first. Your early entry program preference needs to be in your preference list or you will not receive an early offer.
