The scholarship offer process

VTAC will send out provisional scholarship advice for the following institutions:

  • La Trobe University
  • RMIT University
  • Victoria University

There will be two types of advice provided:

  • Advice that your scholarship application is on a waiting list. Should you be successful, further information will be sent to you directly from the institution once course offers have been determined.
  • Advice that the scholarship application has not been successful.

Being allocated a scholarship does not guarantee you an offer for a course.

Advice will be posted online in your user account around late November/early December 2024. If you have not heard from VTAC or institutions by the end of December, please contact institutions directly. VTAC does not determine scholarship eligibility or make scholarship award decisions.

How do institutions provide scholarship advice to you?


Deakin University Will provide provisional scholarship offers following the release of ATARs in December and will continue to award scholarships progressively until all scholarships are offered.
Successful applicants will be notified by email. Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.
Federation University Provisional scholarship advice will be provided from Federation University via email. Confirmation of offers will be made by Federation University in March following the course enrolment process. Successful applicants will be notified by email.
La Trobe University

Shortlisted potential recipients will be informed that we retain an interest in your scholarship application via your VTAC account. Scholarship offers will be emailed direct to you from the La Trobe University Scholarships email address on the same day you receive your La Trobe course offer email. 
RMIT University Offers will commence in early December, with further offers being made in January and February. Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified. 
Swinburne University of Technology Offers will be made by in January and February to coincide with VTAC course offers.
Victoria University Offers will be made in January and February to coincide with VTAC course offers.
